One perfume is a sentence.
Two is a thought.
We design the eight to layer. Here is how — and why — to wear two at once.
Most perfumes are not made to layer. They are designed to dominate. A second perfume on top reads as a mistake.
We design the eight differently. Each composition is built with a discrete identity, but with notes that resolve cleanly into the next bottle's. Layering Keive is less about concealing one perfume with another and more about composing a third on the skin, drawing from two sources.
The three rules
Less, and lower. Layering doubles the perfume load. Halve the number of sprays of each, and put the smaller-spray composition lower on the body — under a wrist, behind the knee. Let it climb.
Family before bottle. The pairings below are not arbitrary. Two woody florals layered will read as a thicker woody floral, not a different perfume. We pair across families intentionally — a green with a salt, a floral with an aquatic — to compose something neither bottle could make alone.
Body, then eau. A body oil under the eau extends the dry-down by hours and brings the lower notes forward. This is the slowest, closest way to wear Keive.
The recommended layers.
Origine Nº1 × Tabac & Iris
A doubled iris. Origine on the wrists, Tabac on the throat — the powdery heart reads twice, once dry and once smoke-warmed.
Cendre Verte × Sel & Bois
A coastline. Cendre's fig leaf above, Sel's salted cedar below — green resolving into iodine.
Pluie Blanche × Rose Brume
A dewy garden. Pluie under as a cool linen, Rose Brume over for the bloom.
Néroli Doré × Pluie Blanche
Long-wearing summer pair. Néroli at the throat, Pluie at the wrists; reapply Néroli at lunch.
Tabac & Iris × Figue Noire
A nocturne. Tabac on the body, Figue at the collar — dark fruit folded into the smoke.
Body Oil — Origine × Origine Nº1
The closest, longest version of Origine. Oil first; let it dry; spray on the pulse.
